Healthcare & Foodservice Technical Sales Manager (Office-based)

Join our elite inside sales and technical team. Base salary from $75,000 to $85,000 with bonus potential!

MedVantage is a well-established technology company providing solutions for the Healthcare and Higher Education industries. Our innovative solutions and support, create synergies and efficiency for our customers. MedVantage is seeking a full-time Technical Sales Manager to join our team. As the Technical Sales Manager, you will work exclusively with MedVantage’s highly specialized technical products, focusing on our innovative RFID inventory solution. This position performs as a sales professional and exhibits excellent interpersonal skills to maintain client relationships and onboard new clients. The Technical Sales Manager will manage the sales cycle of products from prospecting through installation and account protection. As a key member of our location-based team, you will be responsible for selling our innovative solutions to Healthcare and Higher Education facilities, including hospitals, business and industry, colleges, and universities.

This position is office-based with some travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect customers and create relationships for potential sales.
  • Initiates discussion for sales opportunities. Analyzes customer needs and recommends products.
  • Explains complex technical information to customers in an easily understandable way.
  • Conducts sales presentations and prepares proposals with quotes for prospective customers, related to MedVantage’s technical products.
  • Works with the customer to collect all product intake information needed for the build and installation of technical products.
  • Provides preinstallation education for customers as well as user guides. Install product post-sale, either virtually or in person for those products that require it.
  • Follows up with customers and resolves any issues that may arise post-installation.
  • Continues communication with the customer to protect the account and to keep customers informed about new technological products.
  • Ensures that sales targets are consistently met.
  • Updates records of customer communications and contact information in the CRM.

Skills, Experience, and Requirements:

  • 3 years of food service operations experience
  • Minimum 2 years of outbound sales experience selling technical products preferably in the healthcare or food service industries
  • Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the company products work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, active listening skills, and collaborative skills
  • The ability to identify and follow up on leads
  • Exceptional sales presentation and closing skills
  • Knowledge of sales promotion techniques
  • Proficiency in data and financial analytics
  • Strong computer skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • High energy and a progressive strategic approach to business strategies and development

Educational Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or, technical education certificate(s)

As a key member of our location-based business development team, you will be responsible for selling our innovative solutions to Healthcare and Higher Education facilities, including hospitals, outpatient facilities, colleges, and universities.

  • Identify up-sell opportunities with existing clients through research, market analysis, and targeted outreach.
  • Use various channels such as email, phone calls, social media, and networking events to generate leads.
  • Research and understand the needs, challenges, and goals of our clients.

Lead Qualification:

  • Engage with existing clients to assess their fit for the company’s new products or services.
  • Conduct initial discussions to understand the pain points and determine if the existing client is qualified for an up-sell opportunity.
  • Qualify leads based on predetermined criteria and gather relevant information for the sales team.

Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, focusing on understanding their needs and providing relevant information.
  • Provide timely responses to inquiries and address any concerns there may be.

Collaboration with Sales Team:

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to hand off qualified leads and ensure a smooth transition in the sales process.
  • Communicate lead information, insights, and context to the sales team to enable effective follow-up.

Data Management:

  • Document all interactions and lead-related information accurately in the company’s CRM system.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of leads and prospects.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities for business growth..

Performance Tracking:

  • Measure and report on key performance metrics such as the number of leads generated, lead qualification rate, and conversion rates.
  • Continuously analyze and refine lead generation strategies to optimize results.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in outbound calling or business development role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette and persuasive abilities
  • Ability to research and identify potential clients in target markets
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
